The Futurist was latter asked about uses for such a novelty and claimed that such advances in tattoo research would have valuable application in security and military as well as the current and most common use of tattoos; individuality and self expression.

Tattoo Needles

An Important Part of the Machine

There are many items that a tattoo artist needs to continue with their work. Most of the pieces and parts that they will use are disposable, while others will be interchangeable along the way. Among those things is the machine that they use, the brands of ink they choose, and let's not forget the tattoo needles that they will need to get the job done.

Before an artist even starts to deal with the actual tattoo needles, the machine itself has to be put together. It comes in three main parts. This includes the coil wrap, the grip, and the tips that hold the needles. To keep everything together and running smoothly, rubber bands, rubber rings, and grommets will also be needed.

To even be able to use the machine, there are other items that are needed. There is the power supply and the foot pedal. These come in many varieties to choose from. It really depends on what the artist's preference is and what the have become comfortable with. The artist will also have to make sure that all of the cords that come with the pedal and the power supply are long enough for their needs.

While disposable, the tattooing needles are a very important part of the machine. They must always, always be sterilized. Because of the risk of infection, many artists opt to buy pre-packaged needles that come in pre-sterilized packages. There are ways to sterilize the needles before use, but this is the safest way to make sure that your customer will have the lowest risk of infection possible.

As the artist gets farther along into their tattooing career, they will most likely have at least two machines set up to be used. One will be designated as a liner machine, and the other will be used as a shader. It is easier for the artist to have different machines setup to do different things so that they will not have to spend the time preparing the machines while tattooing.

A tattoo artist will use a liner machine to do the outline of the tattoo and any lining within the tattoo itself. This machine will usually use smaller needles to achieve the look that the customer wants. Even a single needle can be used, but a three or a five is most likely unless the customer is wanting bigger and bolder lines.

A shading machine will do just that, shading within the outlines of the tattoo. With shading, the size of the needle will usually be larger than the size used for the outlining. It is up to the artist's preference whether he or she will use a flat or round setup of needles.

Professional tattoo needles will come labeled as what they are intended for. RS and RL for round shader and round liner. A round setup is where the needles are grouped together to form a cylindrical shape. FS and FL are also used for flat shader and flat liner. With a flat setup, the needles are lined up in a single row, or they also come in multiple rows stacked on top of one another. Each type of setup varies in size starting from a single needle up to nine or even more.

No matter what level of tattooing the artist is at, tattoo needles are an important part of the job. To keep the customer safe and the risk of infection low, then they should always be sterilized and used only once. They come in many sizes and varieties, so it will always depend on what the artist is comfortable with using for each tattoo that they do.

Cute Girl Tattoos

Which Designs Always Come Out Amazing?

Just about any design choice can be made into cute girl tattoos, but that's not what we're going to talk about. Having tons of styles to choose from is not a bad thing, though. Not even close. Taking the time to learn about various styles and researching the design choices you might like is always a good thing. In fact, people who do "not" do this will usually regret the artwork they put on their body, which really stinks. Here's are some of the most amazing designs choices, which can all be made into cute girl tattoos.

Justify FullI am going to lump some of the most popular ones into the same boat: Butterflies, fairies, stars, astrological signs and the like. You can't go wrong with any of these choices, although a disturbing trend is happening to these styles. A lot of sites know how popular they are, so they stuff their servers with any generic artwork they can find. They don't care that their artwork is cookie cutter. They just care that it will draw more visitors. Be careful with this artwork, because 95% of people regret putting a generic tat on their body. They do not make cute girl tattoos.

Whatever styles you end up picking, just make sure you are doing it for the right reason, and not just because other people are doing it. Fads come and go. That's why trendy artwork will not last.

A couple of the less common styles are Kanji, women tribals and "New School" artwork. These three choices are not as common on women, but they are very, very in depth and growing in popularity. You are not limited when you choose these cute girl tattoos, because there are so many various ways to incorporate these style choices. That's the best way to ensure you pick a design that you're 100% happy with. Styles that can go 50 different way are always good, because it gets your creative thoughts flowing. Kanji is mostly letters, tribals are very traditional and new school artwork is just now beginning to take off, but incorporate dozens of various traditions.

Whatever artwork you think will make cute girl tattoos, nothing beats getting fully informed about the designs you're looking at.

Shooting Star Tattoo Designs

Change the Quality of the Artwork You See

This is the most important thing to take into account when searching for shooting star tattoos. This can be one of the absolute best design choices possible, but not if you're staring at long pages of generic junk. Is that what you're seeing? If you are, then I have some very valuable tips to share with you, because it's quite easy to move forward and find original, perfectly drawn shooting star tattoo designs.

Let me break this first tip to you very gently: The more generic artwork you see, the bigger the possibility is of you picking one of those basic tattoos to get inked with. Do you know how many people regret putting a cookie cutter tat on themselves, though? The number is staggering. Let's just leave it at that. Many of these people just weren't able to find the better, higher quality artwork, which is why they just "settled" on something. You can easily avoid this by discontinuing your use of search engines when looking for shooting star tattoo designs.

Most of you might think that this is too drastic of a step to take, but it's really not. It's just a necessary one. The only kind of artwork you find in search results will be the generic stuff, because that's the only kind of artwork gallery they show to you. They are always leaving out the bigger, fresher and higher quality galleries. So, if you want to pick shooting star tattoo designs from real, original artwork, you're best shot at finding tons of it is by using big forums to your advantage.

You're not going to find the actual tattoos in the galleries, so you don't have to worry about that. You are just using the big forum because of their massive archives, which are loaded with topics about tattoos. This is the ultimate place to gather links and names to the unbelievable artwork sites you've been missing. The info about these websites are shared freely and regularly through the topics, by people just looking to help each other out. That's how you change the quality of the shooting star tattoo designs you find. It's really that simple.

In the future, you can use this to find any other style, not just shooting star tattoo designs.

Tattoo Designs For Arms

The arm is the number one spot in which tattoos are given throughout the world on the human anatomy. The different types of arm tattoo designs are as different and unique as there are arms in the tattoo parlors everywhere. There are many factors that must be taken into consideration before anyone decides to get inked-up on their arm. There is certainly the primary factor of personal choice as well as occupational field and other sociological factors. By and large the most important factor is the person who is going to be wearing this tattoo design for the rest of their natural life, you.

Upper Arm and Bicep Most Popular Today

Many individuals, especially novice or first-time tattoo wearers, choose to have the arm tattoo on the upper part and not the lower. With the transition of the military's viewpoints on tattoo designs, no longer is the forearm the most popular spot for tattoos these days. It is the upper arm or the bicep that gets most of the attention since this is a great size palette and location for those that want to wear short sleeves and still not advertise their tattoo inked up skin.

Vietnam and Laos

With so many designs and unique coloring patterns available in the world of inking today, the ability to create anything under the sun is now a possibility. The largest numbers of tattoos that appear on arms throughout North America are on the left upper arm. The reason for this, no one knows, yet it is the number one spot for the inking of America. The world is another concern as the different cultures that have different belief systems in the world see the different spots on the body that needs to be addressed. While in Far East Asia and in countries such as Vietnam and Laos, tattoo designs are not seen as anything wrong but a great religious phenomenon. Having tattoos is a sign of wealth and prestige while in the Far eastern region of the world. This goes hand-in-hand with the total number of people being inked-up in the Southeast Asian countries, standing at an estimated 5% in 2010.

Mom Tattoos Popular Always

The upper arm and the shoulder area are great spots for the people who prefer classic tattoo styles. These are usually the larger pieces of self-contained and tattoo areas. Because of this large surface area and the fact that a great deal of that area is essentially flat and hairless, it is a great spot for a portrait of someone's mom or maybe their little baby girl Angelica. The lower arm is a bolder choice but these too can easily display large pieces such as works of art of gothic lettering and flowers and vines. In the end everything is left up to the imagination and the person who is going to wear this work of art on their upper arm and that person is you!

About Tattoos and Tattoo Artists

About Tattoos and Tattoo Artists
Tattoos hurt a lot and it is a fact. You can ask any tattooed person and they will tell you. Tattoos do hurt and they hurt quite a bit. It is like getting pricked into your skin. It does bleed and it is very normal that it does so; do not get frightened. Some people look at the blood and get freaked out. If you are the kinds who do then I would not recommend you to get a tattoo. There are people to whom the pain is a great feeling. Some people really like the feeling and I do not blame them it gives a feeling of freedom or purity and honesty.

Like Johnny Cash says "I focus on the pain the only thing that's real". Tattooing is an art to some it is a just something nice looking. There are different kinds of artists some of them are extremely amazing. They are all trained professionals or then have been into the field for quite a while. The Miami ink is a very famous soap opera which talks about the different tattoo artists and I believe they are amazing. Have seen some of their work and it is amazing.

There is another soap called L.A ink and that is amazing. It is one of my favorite. There is a tattoo artist Kat Von D who is my favorite artist and I hope to get a tattoo from her some day. She is a specialist at portraits and it is a dream of mine to get a tattoo from her. There are number of tattoo artists in Los Angeles. They make a very good amount of money. They are content with what they are doing. It is a passion for them. They are artists as well. They want to share some art.

The Philosophy of Body Art

The Philosophy of Body Art
Tattoos are considered cool or frowned upon depending on your point of view. A person with a tattoo is considered a maverick. The best example of this is the problems people with visible tattoos have in getting jobs. Note that I said visible. If you have a tattoo on your chest or back that is covered with clothing, the unseen tattoo will not become a factor in your chances to get a job. Most people overcome this by getting tattoos they can conceal during working situations and flaunt in social situations. People that get tattoos regard themselves as part of a separate community, with the tattoos as the ink that binds them.

Within the tattoo community there are two factions - the outsiders and the purists. These factions are not rival groups but hardcore or elite and then the amateurs. The elite believe that a tattoo should be created for a reason. There is a quote about tattoos that goes 'Show me a man with a tattoo and I'll show you a man with an interesting past'. A tattoo is supposed to have a story behind it. A tattoo that does not celebrate or commemorate a moment of your life is not considered a real tattoo but a decoration by the elite tattoo community.

Egyptian Tattoo Designs

Egyptian Tattoo Designs
Egypt is one of the first civilizations to classify the elements of art. Egypt is also known for it's great architectural designs with the pyramids and their monumental tombs. Egyptians practiced the art of tattoo. This was discovered by researchers who found patterns on the skin of mummified bodies. These patterns consist of dots and dashes and were mostly found on females and are believed to have been for body decoration, social classification, and religious purposes.

Although these types of patterns are not commonly used today, Egyptian Hieroglyphics and symbols are becoming popular as tattoo designs. Lets discuss some Egyptian symbols that are popular today.

The lure of the 'Dragon Tattoo'

Fans of the late crime novelist Stieg Larsson are getting lost in the Swedish countryside, searching for the quaint town of Hedestad featured in "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."

The problem is, it doesn't exist.

But international readers of Larsson's best-selling Millennium crime trilogy could be excused for thinking otherwise, because most locations in the books are authentic.

Some of them include the Kaffebar cafe in Stockholm - a favorite haunt of Larsson's fictional journalist Mikael Blomkvist - and the Kvarnen bar - where Larsson has tattooed computer hacker Lisbeth Salander spending evenings with her friends from the rock band Evil Fingers.
Both places are located on the trendy island of Sodermalm, a former working-class area with narrow streets where old wooden cottages are squeezed between 20th century stone houses.
The hilly Stockholm district - with popular bars, fashion stores and art galleries - is one of many islands that form the city center and the home of Larsson's characters.

Blomkvist and Salander, the trilogy's main characters, both have apartments there. Salander's friendly first legal guardian, Holger Palmgren, also lived there before he was hospitalized.

Eager Millennium fans can venture out on their own, visiting the scenes of Blomkvist's and Salander's exploits with maps sold by the tourist office. Or they can take the Stockholm City Museum's Larsson tour.

Starting with Blomkvist's small apartment in the brown 19th century building at 1 Bellmansgatan, Millennium fans can relive the books' plots in the real settings, while listening to the guide's detailed descriptions.

"It is great to identify the addresses and see what the buildings look like," said Roland Ojeda, a retired banker from San Francisco, who took the tour in June with his wife, Linda. "I think it brings it to life."

Larsson's books about a darker side of Sweden, where Blomkvist and Salander become involved in murder mysteries, sex trafficking scandals and a secret government department, have sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. The tour has attracted visitors from as far away as Japan, Canada and Australia, said Eva Palmqvist, who leads the museum's tour.

Gemini Tattoo Ideas

As a Gemini, you are ruled by your intellect. You crave intellectual stimulation and achieve this by seeking mental challenges. You tend to take an interest in anything that will pose some mental ability and agility. You like to try new challenges and, once you have conquered that challenge, you are likely to move on to something new. Your mind is restless, ever seeking new intellectual hurdles. When you play sport or other pastimes, you are drawn to those that require strategic thinking.

You are a born communicator and you like the cut and thrust of stimulating conversation - particularly the challenge of bouncing ideas off other people and making telling points in a conversation. This makes you good company, as there is never a dull moment when you are around. People tend to ask your advice because of you ability to get to the heart of a matter. The Gemini tattoo you choose will need to be interesting and meaningful.

Gemini Tattoo Designs

The Gemini Zodiac symbol, also called The Twins, looks like the Roman numerals II. This is to represent the twin sons of Zeus and Leda in Greek mythology, called Castor and Pollux. This has influenced tattoo designs, as the twins are often shown as twin figures or twin heads, and can be male or female. The symbol itself is simple and many people choose a simple design, particularly if it is a first tattoo, but there is plenty of scope for embellishment. If the tattoo is to remember someone special then it tends to be more decorative, with flowers in and around the symbol and maybe a date of birth or death. Arms and legs are popular places for a Gemini tattoo because the vertical design tends to flow with the limbs.

Celtic Gemini Tattoo Ideas

The simple nature of the Zodiac symbol can form a good base for other artwork. The intertwining of Celtic knotwork can embellish the image. This adds an air of mystery to the tattoo and can connect you to the artistic and complex nature of the Celtic people and maybe to your own cultural heritage. Because the symbol represents the Twins, it is said a Gemini has two sides to their personality: a lively, fun-loving, compassionate side and a nervous, indecisive side. This fits the Celts as they were dual-natured - on the one hand they were sensitive poets and artists, on the other hand they were fierce warriors and feared enemies.

Tribal Gemini Tattoo Ideas

Here again, the Gemini Zodiac symbol lends itself to a strong simple design or to one with more intricate artwork building on that theme, which tribal designs do so well. The tribal designs can work well as larger images but they need a bigger area such as a thigh or back. The strong lines of the Tribal designs can remind you of your dual personality but, at the same time, be a constant reminder to stay faithful to that positive side of you - the lively, witty, kind, fun-living side. It can also remind you to make decisions and follow them through.

Flower Hawaiian Tattoo

You have probably found out by now that finding the right flower Hawaiian tattoo can be a real pain, especially if you won't settle for anything less than the perfect design for a female.

Many women, whom I have seen first hand, have scoured the internet, trying to get a great flower Hawaiian tattoo design and have come up just about empty in their search. Don't worry, though. This is perfectly normal and I will show you a simple way to find them, because they are out there, you just haven't found them yet. I will also say a few things about the great background and history of this great Hawaiian design.

The first step to find good artwork is to not settle on a Google search. You also should net look for the good stuff on random, cookie-cutter tat websites. The simple way to find awesome websites is to look through internet forums. Yes, forums. You will not believe the great information you will find here. Remember, women love to brag to other people when they find a great website or a hidden treasure and there is no better way to do it than on a forum.

Another thing I want to tell you has to do with the great background of the design. Most styles change with the times, but this style tends to stay the same, which is a very good thing. They seem to be timeless pieces of art that stand the test of time. You may not know this, but the Hawaiian tattoos in question in this form of art is a Hibiscus. It is a gorgeous flower that can come in a wide variety of colors. It represents purity and a tight connection with nature and the entire nature world.

The amazing island vibe of a flower Hawaiian tattoo is very peaceful and always makes a great choice for a female. While there is a lot of wonder styles out there within this art form, you should not settle for the first thing that you see. The reason behind this is that at a lot of the cookie-cutter tat websites, they might have great art, but some of them were not really drawn to be implemented as a tattoo. While the designs might look good on paper or your computer screen, there is s chance that they will not look good once implemented as a tattoo. Your best bet is to pick four to five of your favorite flower Hawaiian designs and bring them to an artist that you trust. He or she can then tailor it to fit your body.

As a female, you want your tattoos to stand out in a crowd and be an original art piece. Finding the perfect flower Hawaiian tattoo does not have to be hard anymore, and as a female, this information will help you out in your search for the right design
